Ramp is a finance automation platform that can save your business time and money. You get an all-in-one travel, corporate card and expense management solutions for free.
The Ramp integration
The integration lets you choose which cost fields travelers have to fill when booking on TravelPerk.
Ramp can only import new invoices. To import past invoices, contact the Ramp team.
Bookings made using a Ramp card are automatically added to your Ramp account.
- A booking is made on TravelPerk using a Ramp card.
- The Ramp integration forwards all the trip costs to receipts+travelperk@ramp.com.
- A new expense is instantly created for the traveler in their Ramp inbox, with all information conveniently pre-filled to help add it to a Ramp report.
Note: Depending on your invoice profile billing cycle, instant, bi-weekly or monthly, you might receive expenses before an invoice has been generated.
Enable the Ramp integration
You must be an admin for TravelPerk and Ramp to enable the integration following these steps:
Note: The admin who enables the integration must remain an active admin on both platforms for the integration to continue working.
To enable the Ramp integration, follow these steps:
- Go to Account Settings and select Integrations
- Find the Ramp integration and click Set up
- Click Enable
- Log in to your Ramp account and click Allow to authorize TravelPerk to have read access to your Ramp account
- Go back to the TravelPerk Ramp integration page and click Integrate with TravelPerk
- Click Authorise app to give Ramp access to your invoice data
- On Ramp, you will see the TravelPerk integration is connected
2. Configure the Ramp integration
- Go to Account Settings and select Integrations
- Find the Ramp integration and click Manage
- Select the Settings tab and under Sync cost fields, click Configure
- Select the cost fields from Ramp that you want as custom fields on TravelPerk and click Sync cost fields. You can choose 2 cost fields.
- Go back to Account Setting, select Cost Management and click Custom fields
- You will see the fields that you have converted from Ramp
On the checkout page, travelers have to select one of the options from the 2 custom fields dropdowns.
On Ramp, the expense is automatically categorized under the selected field with the TravelPerk invoice attached. It can take up to 4 hours for the data on Ramp to be updated.
Note: Make sure all employees use the same email address in TravelPerk and Ramp to match transactions easily.
Disable the Ramp integration
Admins can disable the Ramp integration by following these steps:
- Go to Account Settings
- Select Integrations
- Find the Ramp integration and click Manage
- Click Disable
