- Only admins can use this feature
Dynamic budgets let you set up travel policies that can handle changing service costs, seasonal price changes and different provider rates.
This functionality doesn’t work for bookings made through our customer care agents.
How to set up a dynamic budget
- Go to the Travel policy page
- Go to Account settings, then Travel policies
- Click Edit on the flights or hotel section
- Enter a maximum percentage for the dynamic budget
- Click Save changes
Dynamic budgets based on the cheapest option
If you set the dynamic budget based on the cheapest option, we will use the price of the cheapest offer found in the search results to decide if the rest of the offers are in or out of policy.
For example, with a dynamic budget of 20%, if the cheapest option is €100, any options of €120 or less are within policy. Any option above would be out of policy.
Dynamic budget based on the median price
If you set the dynamic budget based on the median price, we will use the price of the median option found in the search results to decide if the rest of the options are in policy or not.
For example, with a dynamic budget of 20% below the median price, if the median option is €100, all options of €80 or less are within policy. Any option above this would be out of policy.
If you have also set a maximum budget, any price above the maximum budget will be marked as out of policy, even if it’s within the dynamic budget range.
