Approval processes and roles help determine who should approve trips or receive email notifications about new trips.
There are 3 different roles involved in the approval process:
- The booker: The person responsible for booking the trip.
- The traveler: The people who will be traveling on the trip.
- The approver: The person who approves or declines a trip or who receives a notification about a new trip.
Any trips that need approval are forwarded to the traveler's approver.
For more information, see Set up an approval process.
Tip: If an approver is going to be out of the office, they can choose who they want to manage approval requests while they're away. For more information, see Turn on out-of-office approvals.
