What is an eTicket?
Instead of a paper ticket, your ticket will be emailed to you as a PDF attachment. If you miss the email, it will also be available for download from the trip itinerary page of your TravelPerk account.
This saves you time at the train station as you no longer have to print a ticket from a ticket machine.
How do I get an eTicket?
When searching for a train in the UK:
- Select your preferred time and click on See tickets.
- Scroll down to Ticket delivery method.
- Select Get an eTicket.
- Click on Add to trip.
- You will receive the PDF ticket with your TravelPerk confirmation email. You will also be able to download it from your account under Trips -> select a specific trip.
How do I use my eTicket?
Itβs super easy! Simply open the PDF ticket on your phone and scan the barcode when you travel.
If in case there is no scanner at the station, simply show the eTicket to a present staff member at the barrier.
What if I'm booking round-trip?
If you're booking round-trip, you will receive 2 different PDF attachments for each leg of the tripβone for the outbound trip, and a second one for the return trip.
What if I'm traveling with another colleague?
For bookings with more than 1 traveler, all the tickets of the different travelers will be in one single PDF file.
So if for example, you and another colleague are traveling together from London to Manchester, both of you will receive the same PDF which contains 2 barcodes.
Unfortunately, we do not display the traveler names, so make sure to coordinate with your colleagues to not scan the same barcode.
Is eTicket available for all routes in the UK?
Our eTickets are provided by Trainline, and while they work hard to make it available on all routes, unfortunately, it's only offered on selected routes.
To know which routes support eTickets, you can check this page on the Trainline website.
Will I be able to see my eTicket on the Trainline app?
At the moment this is not possible, but you'll be able to see your eTicket via Travelperk mobile app
