Electronic tickets (eTickets), sometimes also called digital tickets, can be used on trains in the UK instead of paper tickets.
Getting an eTicket
When you book a train in the UK with TravelPerk, you can choose your ticket delivery method. If you choose an electronic ticket, we'll attach it to your booking confirmation email as a PDF. You can also download and save the PDF from your trip itinerary on the TravelPerk website and mobile app.
You’ll receive an eTicket for each leg of your journey and for each person traveling.
Using an eTicket
The eTicket contains a QR code that can be scanned at the ticket gates:
- Open up the PDF attachment on your mobile phone
- Scan the QR code from your phone at the ticket barrier at the station
- If there is no scanner at the ticket barrier, show the eTicket to a staff member
Accessing eTickets with other providers
You can’t access your eTickets with any other train ticket company or operator. You’ll only be able to see and download your eTicket from the confirmation email or TravelPerk website and mobile app.
