Starting in May 2025, all labels will become custom fields. This change simplifies how trips are categorized on TravelPerk, offering a single solution that provides flexibility and control.
Changes
We'll make the following changes to labels:
- All labels will be converted to custom fields
- You won't be able to create new labels
- All active labels will be converted into a single custom field called Labels
- Any archived labels will be deleted
Custom fields work the same way as labels and travelers will still be able to select the relevant information when booking. All information in custom fields will appear on your invoices and reports.
To help with this change, we'll provide you with additional custom fields. For Premium and Pro plans, you'll get an extra 3 and for Starter plans, you'll get 1.
For more information about custom fields, see User profile and Booking flow custom fields and Cost centers, custom fields, labels and groups.
We recommend that you take the following actions before the change happens:
Organize your labels
You can change all of your current labels to custom fields yourself to create a more organized structure.
Here's what you need to do:
- Review your labels and identify categories such as customer names or project IDs
- Create custom fields for each category - you can import a CSV
- Archive your labels
Tip: If you want travelers to be able to provide unique information in your custom field, create a new Booking flow custom field, give it a relevant name, such as What's your reason for traveling? and select Free text for the field type.
Archive your labels
To archive your labels, follow these steps:
- Go to Account Settings
- Under Cost management, select Labels
- For each active label, click the 3 dots and select Archive
