If you have a Premium or a Pro account, you can submit an Airbnb booking request on TravelPerk.
Top tips when booking an Airbnb
- Choose instant booking
Select accommodation that offers instant booking. Booking requests for 'instant booking' accommodation are processed an average of 8x faster than other bookings. - Send us the traveler's Airbnb email address (not their TravelPerk one!)
Make sure to enter the email listed on the traveler's Airbnb account, as it may not be the same as the email address they use on TravelPerk. - Double-check the availability and make sure it's within company policy
Before submitting the request, check that the property is still available. And, where possible, check that it's aligned with your company policy nightly rates for accommodation. That way, we won't need to check with the approver to process the booking request.
How to book an Airbnb through TravelPerk
Note: the traveler must have an account, in their name, on Airbnb (either personal or professional). If the traveler doesn't have an account yet, go to Airbnb to create one.
How does it work?
In order to submit an Airbnb booking request, follow these steps:
- Open the Help page (at the top right of the application) or Concierge tab (on your home page)
- On the Help page, click on 'Book another service' > 'Book an Airbnb'
- On the Concierge tab, select 'Airbnb'
- Add the traveler who the Airbnb account belongs to
- The first traveler you add to the booking should be the one who has the Airbnb account
- You can add multiple travelers to the booking. However, the invoice profile, cost center, and labels will always be linked to the first traveler (and we will fill these fields in automatically!)
- Check the availability and price for your chosen number of guests on Airbnb
- It is essential to check the Airbnb you're trying to book is available. Simply enter the dates and number of guests on the Airbnb listing you're interested in, and press Check availability
- If your screen indicates Reserve, you're good to go!
- Add the correct Airbnb link to your request
- Now that you've entered your check-in and check-out dates and the number of guests on Airbnb, you can copy and paste the link into TravelPerk's Concierge. It should have one of the following two formats:

- Now that you've entered your check-in and check-out dates and the number of guests on Airbnb, you can copy and paste the link into TravelPerk's Concierge. It should have one of the following two formats:
- Add the total price of the Airbnb
- Enter the total price of the booking (including service fees and cleaning fees, if they apply)
- We'll use this to determine whether your booking request is in or out of policy
- Enter the traveler's Airbnb account email
- Enter the email linked to the Airbnb account you want to make the booking for. Be careful, it's usually different from the email you use to access TravelPerk
- If you don't know which email address the account is associated with:
- Once logged in on Airbnb, press the avatar in the top right-hand corner, then Account > Profile > Personal info
- Copy the email address
- Double-check all the information before sending the request! The traveler will receive a copy in their inbox once the request is sent 🙂
When you submit an Airbnb request, we let the person who booked and any travelers know about it.
Getting authorization to book an Airbnb on your behalf
If this is the first time the traveler books an Airbnb on TravelPerk
- We will send the traveler an email invitation to authorize TravelPerk to make bookings on their behalf
- When the traveler accepts the invitation, TravelPerk will then be able to complete the booking process on Airbnb.
If the traveler has already authorized TravelPerk to make bookings on their behalf
- If the Airbnb host accepts the booking request, the traveler will receive emails both from Airbnb and from TravelPerk to confirm the booking
- If the host declines the booking request, we will get in touch with the traveler to help them look for alternative accommodation.
What happens next
Our agents will take care of your request. In general, those changes won’t happen instantly! So don’t worry if they’re not visible right away, you’ll see them reflected on the booking in a few hours.
What happens if we're very busy?
If we are very busy, our response times may be slightly longer than usual. In that case, we will prioritise urgent requests.
- If you are contacting us at a busy time and your request is related to a booking happening in the next 72h, we consider it as urgent and will prioritise it.
- If you are contacting us at a busy time and your request is related to a booking happening after the next 72h, we will address it as soon as we've solved all the urgent requests. Thanks for your understanding!
